When I tell people I have been through a recent relationship breakdown the usual response is:
“I’m soo sorry to hear that.”
Guess what? Yeah that’s right. I’m not. As much as I love her, the end of this relationship is the RIGHT THING TO DO ©. It’s a fresh start for me and a fresh start for her. The end of a relationship is not a bad thing.
Look, I don’t want your pity and I don’t want you to think I’m crying myself to sleep at night. I’m an adaptable modern man. I get on with my life the best I can and move on with what I have to do. This is no tragedy. Shit happens. Ride out the shit storm best you can and come out the other side a better person.
Breaking up is hard to do, but once it’s done it’s done. Time to move on.
